Business Development and Financial Literacy + Orange Mobile Operation Skills Training in 30 Communities

This project is designed to invest in women’s economic and social empowerment by:

1.  Developing a standardized and comprehensive training curriculum on Orange Money use and management with women entrepreneurs for piloting in Montserrado County

2.  Providing access to business development and financial literacy courses for women entrepreneurs in Montserrado, Margibi and Grand Bassa Counties 

3.   Delivering refresher trainings in the V/SLA methodology and Orange Money in Montserrado, Margibi and Grand Bassa Counties


4.  Cash injection into 30 mobile banks located in Montserrado and Margibi Counties including for awareness raising on the use of the Orange Money platform as an innovative approach to accessing financial services; 


UN Women, Orange Liberia, UNDP, WFP, IOM and private sector in providing communities access to services and capacity building, including improved expansion of markets, linkages to finance through the establishment VSLAs, etc.In the past year, EDUCARE’s effort to expand the socio  economic  space  for  women  has  yielded results leading to substantial increases in incomes and job opportunities. These initiatives are spread across  several  counties  in  Liberia. 


Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) Formation and Training for Women in Community Grain Reserves (CGRs) in Grand Bassa and Margibi Counties In 2018, the World Food Programme Liberia (WFP) completed various tasks regarding securing Grain Bank Women’s livelihoods and rights in the context of sustainable development and the post MDGs had four outcome areas: a) Improved food and nutrition security; b) Increased income to secure their livelihoods;
